Design and durability pull in opposite directions here, and durability has to win. Heat softens adhesive and sweat undermines it, so the set has to be applied with liquid glue on both surfaces rather than tabs, at least the night before, and left alone through the curing window. On the design side the useful trick is distribution: a festival set is photographed from every angle in bright overhead sun, so clustering all the art on two nails leaves half your hand blank in most shots. Spread the motifs -- a star here, an aura wash there, a plain neutral between them -- so the hand reads as composed from any direction. Keep raised elements low-profile; a tall 3D charm is the first thing to catch on a bag strap in a crowd, and a lost charm mid-weekend is more visible than a plain nail would have been.

Choose the length for the weekend you are actually having. Long shapes look right in photos and become a liability by the second afternoon of holding drinks, phones and other people's hands in a crowd, so medium is the shape that survives. Boho neutrals, warm metallics and washed pastels sit with the standard festival wardrobe of denim, fringe, crochet and layered silver without competing with it. Pack a small bottle of glue -- one nail lifting on day one is a thirty-second fix and an unfixable annoyance if you have nothing with you. And apply nothing oily to your hands on the morning of day one; sunscreen migrating onto the nail plate is what starts most festival sets lifting before the first headliner.
